What is Spring Academy?: A field hockey training academy to develop as a total field hockey athlete, which includes weekly practices and optional tournament opportunities. In FHL's Spring Academy, athletes will develop individual skill with technical training, learn team tactical concepts in small-sided games, and have the option to compete in tournament opportunities. Our Spring Academy is full of coaches with extensive coaching experience who love the game and find joy in coaching the next generation of athletes in this great sport! Who can join FHL's Spring Academy?: U14, U16, & U19 athletes of all skill levels (beginner to advanced!) U8, U10, and U12 athletes should visit our clinic page here for information on youth clinics! *For U14, U16, & U19 athletes looking for the most competitive training environment, information on our select program is at the bottom of the page. When and where are Spring Academy practices? Lou Berliner Sports Complex in Columbus, OH Mondays and Thursdays, 90 min. time block between 5-8pm March 27th, 30th April 3rd, 6th, 10th, 13th, 17th, 20th, 24th, 27th May 1st, (no session on the 4th), 8th, 11th, 15th, 18th, 22nd, 25th, (no session on the 29th) June 1st, 5th, 8th When and where are Spring Academy tournaments? - Sat. April 22nd: Aim 7v7 Showdown, Saint Louis, MO ($75) - Sun., May 14th: Witt 7v7 Tournament in Springfield, OH ($60) - Sat., May 27th: 7v7 Derby Classic in Louisville, KY ($60) - Sun., June 11th: Midwest Youth Festival in Oxford, OH or Cincinnati, OH ($50) - Sun., June 11th: MWC Invitational (U16 & U19) Details TBD |
