Our winter season takes place indoors where athletes will play indoor field hockey. This sport is a little different then traditional outdoor field hockey with only 5 field players and 1 GK on the court and boards around the playing surface to facilitate passing options and keep the ball in play. This is a very fun and fast game that allows players to work on their stick skills and footwork, as the play moves faster then in outdoor field hockey. It is a great way for new players to learn and fall in love with the game. In addition, experienced players are challenged to increase the speed and accuracy of skills, as well as, transition of the play.
If you are looking for instruction from our coaches to help take your game to the next level, the Training Academy is a great option.
Attention: This year, we are limiting the number of athletes that we accept into the program.
We will open registration for returning FHL athletes first and then if spots are still available, we will open tryout spots.
All weekly trainings will now be team practices. Attendance is important and unexcused absences could jeopardize your playing time.
Details will be released soon and emails will be sent out the last week of September with further instructions. If you do not get an email from FHL by 9/17/17, please contact FHL director, Keli Puzo here.
